International Women’s Day 2022 with Di Wooldridge

Cross 8 Consultant, Di Wooldridge, talks about International Women’s Day and her experience as a woman in the corporate world.

International Women’s Day 2022 campaign theme was #BreakTheBias

Imagine a gender-equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.

A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Moreover, a world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together, we can forge women’s equality. Collectively, we can all #BreakTheBias.

Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day. Furthermore, we can break the bias in our communities. Additionally, we can break the bias in our workplaces. Moreover, we can break the bias in our schools, colleges, and universities.

Together, we can all break the bias – on International Women’s Day (IWD) and beyond.

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Furthermore, the day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Notably, significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality.

Marked annually on March 8th, IWD is one of the most important days of the year to:

  • Celebrate women’s achievements
  • Educate and raise awareness for women’s equality
  • Call for positive change advancing women
  • Lobby for accelerated gender parity
  • Fundraise for female-focused charities

Everyone, everywhere can play a part in helping forge gender equality. Consequently, from a wide range of IWD campaigns, events, rallies, lobbying, and performances – to festivals, parties, fun runs, and celebrations – all IWD activity is valid. Hence, that’s what makes IWD inclusive.
